Electronic Drums

Electronic drums are not as common as acoustic drum sets. They are mostly used for studio recordings in order to achieve different sounds and musical textures that cannot be attained with traditional acoustic drums. These types of drums can be found in most music stores and online.

Electronic drum sets are often more costly than acoustic drums. Because they require a good amount of peripheral electronic accessories to function properly, the initial investment can be quite taxing on the wallet. However, the expense is often considered to be worth it because of the variations one can get with an electronic set as opposed to the acoustic drums.

A electronic drum leave a lot of variation up to the drummer. The configurations of a drum set are almost limitless. By changing the set up around the drummer and assigning different sounds and styles to the different pads, the electronic drummer has potential for astounding variations of sounds.
